Published: 06/06/2024
Applications for the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) 2024 Young Woman Engineer (YWE) of the Year Awards are now open.
The awards celebrate women who are passionate about Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM), who demonstrate their engineering expertise and are genuinely working towards creating a better world.
By honouring women working in modern engineering, these awards aim to shift the perception that engineering is primarily a male career by eliminating outdated stereotypes of hard hats and dirty overalls.
The award categories include:
- Young Woman Engineer of the Year
- Mary George Memorial Prize for Apprentices
- Women’s Engineering Society (WES) Prize
- Gender Diversity Ambassador Award
The closing date for entries is 28 June 2024.
Applicants must be currently working in the UK. Non-members are welcome to enter the IET YWE awards.
