We recognise the significant and lasting contribution made by Mr Filer to the Engineering Council as a Council Member from 1986-88 and Director General from 1988-1995, to the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) as President in 2000 and to the Worshipful Company of Engineers, which he joined in 1989. …
