The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) Apprentice of the Year Award is open for nominations. 

This award is for an apprentice who can demonstrate outstanding commitment to their continuing development while also making a positive difference to their employer and the wider community. It is necessary for the apprentice to have a career plan covering the next three years or so. 

The award is open to apprentices who are an Affiliate Member of any professional body, and are enrolled on an engineering apprenticeship, where the work has a significant mechanical engineering content. 

The winner will receive a prize of £1,000 and any highly commended entrants will receive a certificate.
