Nominations for the Royal Academy of Engineering’s 2027 Sir Frank Whittle Medal are open.

Named in honour of Britain’s jet engine genius, the Sir Frank Whittle Medal is awarded to a UK-based engineer whose outstanding and sustained achievements have had a profound impact on their engineering discipline.

The recipient of the Sir Frank Whittle Medal will be selected by the Royal Academy of Engineering’s Awards Committee. 

Nominations may be submitted by any individual or organisation, however, self-nominations are not accepted. Individuals who wish to be considered but do not have a nominator are encouraged to contact the Academy for assistance.
