The personal data we collect will be used to contact you / your organisation regarding a Professional Affiliate application, status and / or requirements.

What is the basis for processing your data
The processing of your personal data by the Engineering Council is conducted on the basis of legitimate interest in order to establish if your organisation should receive Professional Affiliate status. Once your organisation has gained the Professional Affiliate status, we process your data to maintain contact with you / your organisation.

Special or sensitive data
The Engineering Council does not collect or process special categories of personal data or sensitive data such as race, ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, etc.

Sharing your data
The Engineering Council will pass your personal data to the following third parties, without first obtaining your consent, for the following purpose(s) as part of our processing activities:

The Engineering Council will not pass on your personal information to any other
organisation.

However we may share your data for the purpose of:

• attendance lists at workshops and seminars, which will only be shared with other
  attendees
• internal communication(s) within Engineering Council e.g. in emails, notes and
  papers.

Retention
The Engineering Council will process your personal data for as long as the individual at the organisation or until the organisation’s business details need to be changed.
