The Engineering Council believes that diverse and inclusive cultures are beneficial to all. Inclusive cultures lead to positive economic, business, and innovation outcomes as well as being morally and socially just.
The Engineering Council is committed to a more diverse, equitable and inclusive registrant community.
Registrants who choose to join the UK register are required to meet the UK Standard of Professional Engineering Competence and Commitment (UK-SPEC). This includes the requirement to demonstrate awareness of diversity and inclusion in their engineering practise, and commitment to promote equality, diversity and inclusion.
The Engineering Council’s vision is that society continues to have confidence and trust in the engineering profession.
