Personal data is any information that can be used to identify an individual. The personal data that the Engineering Council collects and processes about you is the email address you give us when asking to receive our digital newsletters.
What we use your personal data for
The personal data we collect will be used to send you copies of our digital newsletters.
Our basis for processing your personal data is consent, which you give by subscribing online or emailing us to be added to the Engage/HE Bulletin mailing list.
Special or sensitive data
The Engineering Council does not collect or process special categories of personal data or sensitive data such as race, ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, etc.
Consent
You may withdraw consent to the Engineering Council processing your personal data at any time by unsubscribing using the automatic link on each issue of Engage or by emailing marketing@engc.org.uk asking to be removed from our contact list, however if you withdraw your consent we would not be able to send you Engage.
Sharing your data
The Engineering Council Engineering Council will not pass on your personal information to any other organisation.
Retention
The Engineering Council will process your personal data until you unsubscribe or request to be removed from the mailing list.
Data security
All personal data held or processed by the Engineering Council is held on secure systems.
