Education and skills policy
The Engineering Council takes an active interest in the developments in education and skills policy that may impact the professional development of engineers and technicians.
This is achieved through formal and informal contact with Government departments and agencies, and by responding to official policy proposals.
To influence and respond to policy, we work with a range of partners, including:
- Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng)
- EngineeringUK
- Licensed Professional Engineering Institutions (PEIs)
- Department for Education
- Quality Assurance Agency (QAA)
- Engineering Professors’ Council (EPC)
- Awarding Organisations
- Apprenticeship Standard Setting Bodies
- Skills England
