Anyone who is registered as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) in the UK can apply for EUR ING registration through the Engineering Council. Different routes to registration may apply if you do not hold an ENGINEERS EUROPE European Engineers Education Database (EEED) engineering degree or if you hold a non-engineering academic qualification.

If you have a professional qualification awarded in another European country, you should contact the ENGINEERS EUROPE's National Member for that country for information about how to apply.

To apply for EUR ING in the UK you will need to be a member of one of the Licensed PEIs and registered as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng).

There is an initial application fee of £245, once a submitted application is complete the applicant will be contacted by the Registration Team with details of how to make the payment.

EUR ING registration must be renewed every five years. Candidates registered from January 2023 will be required to submit five years of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) upon renewal; the renewal fee is expected to be £145 in 2028.

EUR ING registered after 1st January 2023 will need to submit five years of CPD records upon renewal.

You will need to have been continuously registered as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) for at least eight years and you should be in good standing with your Licensed Professional Engineering Institution (PEI) and with the Engineering Council.

You should have undergone all stages of the assessment procedure for CEng registration in the UK.
