As part of International Women in Engineering Day 2022, The Women’s Engineering Society (WES) has announced the winners of the Top 50 Women in Engineering awards. Now in its seventh year, the 2022 WE50 winners celebrate women who have created or improved a product or process that makes a difference. The Royal Academy of Engineering has announced 23 new ‘Ingenious’ awards for public engagement projects designed to inspire the next generation of engineers. New analysis shows increase of women working in engineering

New research from EngineeringUK has shown that 16.5% of those working in engineering are female, compared to 10.5% as reported in 2010. Analysis of trends in women in the engineering workforce between 2010 and 2021 shows this six percentage point increase in the proportion of women in the engineering workforce.
