Published: 21/11/2019

Engineering Council logoThe Engineering Council is pleased to announce the Association of Polish Engineers in Great Britain (STP) and the International Institute of Obsolescence Management (IIOM) receiving approval to become Professional Affiliates.

Professional Affiliates are engineering institutions closely associated with, but not licensed by, the Engineering Council. They are influential and work to further the knowledge and understanding of a particular area or aspect of engineering and technology. Some Professional Affiliates have agreements with licensed institutions to assess their members for professional registration.

Registration Agreements have been approved between the Society of Operations Engineers (SOE) and the following Professional Affiliates, who previously held registration agreements with the Society of Environmental Engineers (SEE):

  • The Institute of Concrete Technology (ICT)
  • The Institute of Corrosion (ICorr)
  • The Institute of Demolition Engineers (IDE)
  • The Institute of Explosive Engineers (IExpE)

Details of all current Professional Affiliates and licensed professional engineering institutions can be found on our website.
