Board member recognised in New Year’s Honours List

Michelle RichmondThe Engineering Council would like to congratulate all registrants recognised in the 2019 New Year’s Honours List.

These include Michelle Richmond CEng FIET, Director Membership & Professional Development at the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and a member of the Engineering Council’s Board, who becomes a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE). The trustees and staff of the Engineering Council congratulate her on this achievement.

The Engineering Council is pleased to see the contribution of engineers and engineering being recognised in this New Year’s Honours List, circulated as the Year of Engineering comes to an end. By becoming professionally registered, all Chartered Engineers, Incorporated Engineers and Engineering Technicians have demonstrated their competence and commitment against an internationally recognised standard. This includes a personal commitment to professional standards, recognising obligations to society, the profession and the environment.
