Licence suspended for Institute of Cast Metal Engineers (ICME)

Published: 03/05/2018

The Engineering Council’s Quality Assurance Committee (QAC) has agreed to suspend the licence for the Institute of Cast Metal Engineers (ICME), effective from 20 April 2018, further to issues relating to licensing requirements being identified at a review visit.

ICME has been asked to develop an action plan to resolve the issues raised and provide evidence that these have been addressed. This will be reviewed at the October QAC meeting.

While ICME’s licence is suspended, the Institute will not be able to assess candidates for registration.
