Imagine the Future Design Competition - Women's Engineering Society and Lottie
Published: 01/09/2022
In partnership with Lottie, the Women's Engineering Society (WES) is excited to announce a worldwide design competition for school children.
This years theme is 'Imagine the Future', where they are looking for children to build a Lottie-sized futuristic building, using recyclable materials found in the home. The winning design will be made into a real wooden building with the winners credited on the packaging and each winner will receive a doll of their choice.
There will be two categories, one for primary school (ages 4-12) and one for secondary school (ages 13+); so please encourage anyone who might be interested to enter.
2022 will be the seventh WES Lottie Tour, which will once again show how varied and exciting it is to work in engineering. There is a new double-sided downloadable Lottie poster available, to help children to learn about engineering. And engineers can sign up now to participate in the tour, by taking a Lottie doll to work and sharing photos during Tomorrow's Engineers Week, 7-11 November 2022.
The 'Imagine the Future' deadline is Friday 28 October and all entries are online.
