The prime minister, Rishi Sunak, announced a new UK-USA Mutual Recognition Agreement for engineering during his two-day visit to Washington DC for trade discussions in June.

Work is currently in progress to develop a mutual recognition agreement between the Engineering Council and the US’s National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).
