RegCheck, an online tool enabling employers, clients or other third parties to confirm an individual’s professional registration status, is now available on the Engineering Council's website.

While it has always been possible to confirm registration status by contacting our Registration team, RegCheck makes this process faster and easier for users, both in the UK and internationally.

We encourage registrants to note their Engineering Council registration number, shown on their professional registration certificate, making it simple for future employers or clients to verify their registration status online. 

• To search for a registrant, the user will require their full name, registration title (eg EngTech/IEng/CEng) and either their date of birth or Engineering Council registration number.  
• RegCheck cannot be used as a search for registrants of a particular name, title, specialism or location, only to confirm the registration status of a specific individual.  
• Users will not be able to search for past or inactive registrations, only active registrations will be confirmed. 
• Registrants can be assured that RegCheck will only confirm details that the user already holds and will not share any additional personal data.
