Refreshed course search for accredited and approved programmes

Published: 30/09/2020

Course search - screenshot of webpageDuring August the Engineering Council launched its refreshed online course search.

This allows learners past, present and future to search for courses that have been recognised by the professional engineering institutions. The new unified search covers degrees, apprenticeships, vocational qualifications and other programmes of learning. Courses can be recognised as fully or partially meeting the knowledge and understanding required for registration as Engineering Technician (EngTech), Information and Communication Technology technician (ICTTech), Incorporated Engineer (IEng), or Chartered Engineer (CEng).

Users can use a set of search filters to find a specific programme of learning; or use a simple keyword search to browse a list of courses. A new ‘Approval and Accreditation FAQs’ explains the criteria behind recognition, and how to use the search to find the right course.
