The Accreditation Review Working Group (ARWG) was set up to investigate and develop solutions for perceived inconsistencies in accreditation practice. The initial consultation which took the form of focus groups and structured interviews with stakeholders has identified some opportunities for improvement.

In response to this, the working group, with the approval of the Engineering Council Board and Registration Standards Committee (RSC) developed initial proposed solutions, which have been refined and revised in the light of informal feedback received from the professional engineering institutions (PEIs) to date.

The Working Group is now seeking the views of PEIs and relevant HEIs on these proposals before producing recommendations.
