Engineering Council staff are working hard to support all stakeholders, including education providers, through challenging times. One of the ways we have responded to Covid-19 is through providing Information for HE providers. This includes a University Impact Report template, which has been created to assist providers in submitting relevant information about adjustments that have had an impact on their programmes.

Discussions highlighted that Engineering Council accreditation is more flexible than that of some professions, as we focus on learning outcomes but do not specify delivery or assessment mechanisms.

PSRBs are a diverse group of organisations that include professional bodies, regulators and those with statutory authority over a profession or a group of professionals. PSRBs set standards for, and regulate standards of, entry into their particular professions and often participate in quality assurance activities. We continue to engage with this group and discuss areas of common interest, including the accreditation of Higher Education programmes.
