It's Tomorrow's Engineers Week
Published: 07/11/2016
Tomorrow’s Engineers Week has arrived. It runs from 7 to 11 November 2016 and shines a spotlight on engineering careers in a way that young people, and particularly girls, may have never considered before. The organisers want everyone in engineering to get involved in some way, even if it’s a simple tweet of support with #TEWeek16. Following @Tomorrows_Eng on Twitter would be a good way to start.
Look out online and on social media for features on hidden engineers who need a little more limelight. For example, hidden engineer Helen Cavill, whose Engineering Council case study can be read here, has been featured in Eureka!. Read the article at www.eurekamagazine.co.uk
The #TEWeek16 team has also compiled questions from schoolchildren around how engineers will help to tackle social and environmental problems of the future, such as flood prevention, space travel, global food security or on a variety of other topics. The team will be using the responses to create content to share via social and traditional media during TE Week.
