Engineering Council supports #NWED2016 with new Women in Engineering page

Published: 23/06/2016

The Engineering Council has launched a temporary new web page in support of National Women in Engineering Day (NWED), on 23 June 2016. Three Board Members share their views and experiences as women working in and on behalf of the engineering community, and a handful of talented and inspiring women talk about their careers, achievements and how they discovered engineering. To view the page, which will be available until the end of July, click here

NWED is an annual international awareness campaign to raise the profile of women in engineering and focus on the incredible career opportunities available to girls in this industry. It was established by the Women’s Engineering Society (WES) and is in its third year. Events will take place across the country on 23 June and throughout the week. More details are here.

WES encourages supporters to use the campaign hashtag #NWED2016 and to follow activities on the NWED website (nwed.org.uk) and on twitter @nwed1919.
