Nominations open for the 2025 WES Awards

The 2025 Women’s Engineering Society (WES) Awards are officially open for nominations.

These awards celebrate those making outstanding contributions to advancing diversity, inclusion, and excellence in engineering and applied sciences.

The WES Awards promise to showcase the best of innovation, allyship, and leadership across the sector. 

2025 Award categories include:

  • Karen Burt Memorial Award – recognising excellence and potential in newly Chartered engineers
  • Men as Allies Award – honouring male professionals going above and beyond to support female colleagues and challenge gender imbalance
  • Best Newly Incorporated Engineer Award – celebrating new Incorporated Engineers showing excellence and impact
  • Best Newly Registered Engineering Technician Award – recognising exceptional newly registered Engineering Technicians
  • Isabel Hardwich Medal – for outstanding, sustained contribution to the Women’s Engineering Society
  • Gillian Skinner Award – recognising committed individuals making a difference nationally or within local WES clusters
  • Amy Johnson Inspiration Award – celebrating a non-engineer who has made a remarkable contribution to diversity in engineering

The winners will be celebrated at the Caroline Haslett Lecture and Awards Ceremony on 16 December 2025.

Nominations close on 22 September 2025.
