The Engineering Council extends its congratulations to the registrants awarded at the WES Caroline Haslett Lecture and Awards Ceremony, held at The Geological Society of London on 16 December.
The evening honoured the legacy of Caroline Haslett and celebrated the extraordinary impact of engineers who are shaping a more inclusive and innovative future.
Juliette Goddard CEng MIMechE was presented with the Karen Burt Memorial for best newly Chartered Engineer. Juliette has co-founded several initiatives that support early-career women engineers, as well as working on crop consistency in farming towers, directly enhancing customer outcomes and sustainability.
Caroline Nicholls IEng MICE, a Senior Engineer at Laing O'Rourke, was awarded Best Newly Incorporated Engineer. A staunch advocate of mentorship and the cultivation of young talent, she participates in outreach events in her local community to promote engineering opportunities for women and young people.
Emily Cole EngTech MICE, an apprentice at Jackson Civil Engineering, won Best Newly Registered Technician. Emily has been actively raising the profile of young women in Engineering throughout her four years with Jackson, where she actively advocates for young women pursuing careers in engineering.
