EngineeringUK promotes the vital contribution of engineers, engineering and technology in our society. EngineeringUK partners business and industry, government and the wider science and engineering community: producing evidence on the state of engineering, sharing knowledge within engineering and inspiring young people to choose a career in engineering, matching employers’ demand for skills. EngineeringUK leads engagement programmes The Big Bang Fair and Tomorrow’s Engineers.
Tomorrow’s Engineers is a UK wide school engagement programme that is a key route to inspiring young people to consider a career in engineering. Tomorrow’s Engineers is led by EngineeringUK and the Royal Academy of Engineering, with support from other organisations.
The Big Bang Fair is the largest celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths for young people in the UK and aims to show them just how many exciting and rewarding opportunities there are out there for those with the right experience and qualifications. The Fair hosts the finals of the prestigious National Science + Engineering Competition.
The report, produced by EngineeringUK, analyses the engineering industry’s capacity and capability for growth and details engineering in education, training and employment.
