Covid-19 (Coronavirus)

Published: 17/03/2020

Engineering Council logoIn line with government advice to slow the spread of coronavirus, the Engineering Council has taken the decision to ensure its staff will be working from home with immediate effect. We will maintain as much of the organisation’s operations as possible through staff working remotely and aim to keep disruption to a minimum during this time.

We will not be able to send out physical welcome packs to new registrants, or process orders for replacement certificates or professional stamps until the current Covid-19 situation abates.

If you are expecting to attend a meeting of any of the Engineering Council’s committees, panels or Working Groups, you will be contacted by Secretariat for that meeting to confirm whether this will go ahead remotely or be re-scheduled.

To contact any of our teams or functions, please use the email contacts below:

Please contact an individual member of Engineering Council staff through their normal email address.

For general enquiries, please see the FAQ information and relevant links on our website, or contact info@engc.org.uk

Guidance for professional engineering institutions on interruption to programme delivery is available on our Partner Portal and for higher education institutions on our website.

The Engineering Council holds the national Register of Engineering Technicians (EngTech), Incorporated Engineers (IEng), Chartered Engineers (CEng) and Information and Communication Technology Technicians (ICTTech). It also sets and maintains the internationally recognised standards of competence and ethics that govern the award and retention of these titles. By this means it is able to ensure that employers, government and wider society, both at home and overseas, can have confidence in the skills and commitment of registrants.
