During 2019, the Engineering Council undertook a second public consultation as part of its five-yearly Standards Review. The review is carried out to ensure that the Standards (including the requirements for registration as a professional engineer or technician) remain fit-for-purpose as engineering and the wider world changes.

The consultation was promoted as widely as possible, to encourage responses from any person or group with an interest in the Standards or how they work. The responses have now been analysed and key areas for attention have been identified. A summary of responses is now available to view on our Consultations page.
