The Department of International Trade published a call for evidence on 28 November to identify UK interest in existing EU trade remedy measures. They are asking UK businesses which are affected by trade remedies to respond to their call for evidence, as they will not maintain a trade remedy measure if they have not had any responses from UK businesses which support it. The call for evidence can be found at online at: https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/call-for-evidence-to-identify-uk-interest-in-existing-eu-trade-remedy-measures
As part of the Department’s proactive outreach to stakeholders and businesses, they are organising roundtables to discuss the call for evidence and understand any queries stakeholders and businesses may have.
The available dates are as follows:
- 14 December 2017 1200 – 1300 at 3 Whitehall Place, London
- 16 January 2018 1500 – 1600 at 55 Whitehall, London
These are standalone meetings, so either can be attended. If you would like to attend either event, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org highlighting your date preference; kindly note that places are limited, and they will confirm availability. If you are unable to attend these dates, there will be more roundtables scheduled, as well as webinars.
