The Royal Academy of Engineering is conducting a survey of engineers and engineering employers in the UK. The survey is seeking to better understand the culture of engineering, including the following questions:

• How do people currently working in engineering perceive the culture?
• How inclusive is the culture of engineering currently?
• How can the sector create a more inclusive culture for the future?

The survey is part of a wider project on diversity and inclusion and will provide useful insight into the sector and how close it is to achieving the vision of a culture where all engineers thrive, and what it needs to do to further to get there. An analysis of the anonymous responses will be used to inform a sector report and recommendations, which will be published in the second quarter of 2017.
