Nominations are now open for four different 2020 medals and awards presented by the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng) to celebrate engineering excellence.
The prizes currently open for nominations are:
- Major Project Award which recognises a UK-based team of up to five engineers who have delivered a major project with a substantial impact on society.
- Silver Medal for early to mid-career individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to UK engineering resulting in successful market exploitation. Up to four silver medals are awarded annually.
- President's Medal which is awarded to a Fellow of the Royal Academy who has greatly contributed to the Academy’s work and aims.
- Prince Philip Medal is the Academy’s most prestigious individual award for an engineer of any nationality who has made an exceptional contribution to engineering as a whole: through education, management or practice.
Until 4pm on Monday 18 November anyone can nominate individuals or teams using the RAEng’s online nominations system. RAEng particularly welcomes nominations which showcase the diversity of talent supporting UK engineering. The 2020 awards and medals will be presented at the Academy’s Awards Dinner in July next year.
