Study investigates cooperation between businesses and universities

Participants sought for Europe-wide study into cooperation between businesses and universities

Published: 14/10/2016

The European Commission has commissioned a wide-ranging study on the cooperation between higher education institutions and public and private organisations in Europe. This is because collaboration between businesses and universities can have a positive impact on business innovation and skills as well as university engagement and student employability.

Participants from businesses and universities are being sought to complete a survey, whether these organisations already have cooperative relationships in place or not, to ensure the study is a success. The survey is set to be the most comprehensive ever undertaken in Europe on this topic, involving over 3,500 universities and 1,000 businesses. It will help inform appropriate policy making aimed at improving future partnerships between higher education institutions and external organisations.

The survey can be completed in 25 European languages and takes approximately ten minutes. All responses will remain anonymous. The European Commission requests that participants complete the survey by 11 November 2016.

The survey can be found here: http://www.survey.ub-cooperation.eu/
