Applications are now open for the Hawley Award for Engineering Innovation, presented by the Worshipful Company of Engineers through the Engineers Trust. Awarded annually, the prize includes an engraved medal, certificate and a £5,000 prize, recognising an individual whose innovation contributes to achieving net zero carbon by 2050.

The award is open to UK-based individuals who are early career stage engineers and members of a recognised professional engineering institution.

To enter, applicants must demonstrate an innovative technology that has reached at least the prototype or proof-of-concept stage, with clear potential for commercial development. The work must have been carried out after the completion of a graduate or postgraduate degree from a recognised UK university or during postgraduate studies (work completed for a BSc or MEng is not eligible).

The deadline for applications is 10 February 2025.
