The new Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers and Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers for 2024 were unveiled during a special live broadcast on Apprenticeships.gov.uk. These rankings honour the country’s exceptional employers, both large and small, recognising their dedication to creating new opportunities, promoting diversity, and achieving high apprenticeship completion rates.
Employers from diverse industries and sectors submitted entries for the rankings, highlighting the broad impact and significance of training programmes nationwide.
This year, engineering firms have excelled, with the British Army and Royal Navy recognised as top employers for their outstanding programmes in the Armed Forces category. Other notable successes include BAE Systems which outshone others in Engineering & Industrial, BT in the Technology sector, and The Go-Ahead Group, which stood out in Transport, Travel & Logistics.
In the SME category, several engineering and construction firms, such as Roe Brickwork and Lee Marley Brickwork, were commended for their excellence, significant contributions to apprenticeship training and opportunities.
The award winners will be invited to a celebratory lunch at the House of Commons in September 2024.
