The Engineering Council endorses the Global Responsibility Competency Compass, a self-led education tool launched to address the sustainability skills gap in engineering. It’s a practical and useful resource which supports individuals, teams and companies by pointing to the capabilities needed to stay relevant.

Designed to support self-assessment, it provides a template which directs engineering practitioners to the sustainability skills they will need for the future. Used regularly, the Compass could help build the evidence needed for professional development, through qualifications and registration.
