Details
Due to Covid-19 (coronavirus) restrictions, the Engineering Council’s Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) will be held via Zoom Virtual Meeting. The Chairman and Trustees of the Engineering Council invite you to participate on Wednesday 29 July at 4.30pm.

The purpose of the EGM is to consider a resolution to amend the Charter as outlined:

Voting

Voting will be on the basis of one vote per member (defined as all Licensed Member institutions). In accordance with the Engineering Council’s Regulation 6A, the vote of a member may only be cast by its authorised representative that is the Licensed Member’s President (or Chair of the Trustees) or delegated to the Chief Executive or an Engineering Council Board member.

Any modification or revocation to the Charter is subject to the approval by three-quarters majority vote of the members of the Engineering Council in general meeting, in accordance with the provisions of Article 11 of the existing Charter. The existing Charter and Bye-laws can be found on the Engineering Council’s website.
