Please note that there are very few Higher National qualifications (HNC/HND) on our accreditation database. If you cannot find yours, click here for further information on its status for registration.
If you can’t find your qualification on the accreditation database, it may be listed as a recognised course. These courses are deemed equivalent to accredited courses and fully satisfy the education requirement for CEng/IEng as detailed in the individual course records.

Further LearningSome CEng and IEng accredited courses have public notes which state that further learning is required from a specified date of entry to fully satisfy the education requirement for registration. This date of entry refers to entry into the first year of a degree course. The further learning is satisfied by completion of an approved or accredited course (MSc, PGDip, etc. for CEng; bachelor degree for IEng). Completion of a non-accreditation qualification as further learning may satisfy this requirement. For IEng accredited courses, the further learning required is to ordinary bachelor degree level. Successful completion of an IEng accredited ordinary bachelor degree would satisfy this requirement. Successful completion of an ordinary bachelor degree may satisfy this requirement.
