The Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) has announced an updated Affiliate scheme, designed for professionals in built environment industries and others who are seeking closer association with the global structural engineering profession.

Affiliate membership at IStructE provides links into structural engineering and is open to anyone, including architects, surveyors, engineering professionals, suppliers and teachers. Benefits include a free digital copy of the Institution’s flagship publication, The Structural Engineer, and discounts on Institution events, technical publications and room hire at its London headquarters. A ‘Group’ Affiliate package, for professional Institutions and other organisations, will also be made available.

Darren Byrne, Director of Membership and Education at IStructE, said: “Our Affiliate scheme is another method by which we can transform accessibility to structural engineering and promote collaboration by encouraging new links with our membership of world class design professionals.”
