Mrs Anupama Franklin EngTech ARAeS
Hello there, my name is Anupama Franklin, and I work as an Avionics Support
Engineer for Revue Thommen AG in Switzerland . This is a picture of me in the
cockpit of a Boeing 767 after finishing the ground checks on the Avionics
Systems. As well as my work as an Avionics Support Engineer I am completing my
final year of a Masters degree in Aviation Management from Newcastle University
- Australia via online learning.
Being a career orientated woman, aviation is my passion.
Working as an Avionics Support Engineer has given me a wide opportunity to
learn and prove my knowledge and skills, bringing me into direct contact with
worldwide aviation companies. This has allowed me to gain confidence and
to be able to tackle different technical questions and find solutions to
technical problems. My previous employment as an Avionics System
Engineer at Jet Aviation Basel has given me considerable knowledge enabling me
to work better in my present job.
To be a registered Engineer, as a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society and
the Engineering Council UK had been my dream for long time. To have recently
become an Engineering Technician (Nov 2004) at the age of 26, is a big boost to
my aviation career. Getting recognised as a registered Engineer will definitely
increase my opportunities to grow in the competitive aviation field.
I am a person who wants to learn more and grow in my career, so I believe that
having recognition as a registered engineer via ECUK is a big achievement.
I am now looking forward to climbing up the ladder to reach Chartered
Engineer status with the Engineering Council UK .
