Professor Kel Fidler FREng

Professor Fidler is Vice-Chancellor of Northumbria University at Newcastle. He has a wealth of expertise and experience in the discipline of engineering; his first degree is in Electrical Engineering and he studied Electronic Engineering for his doctoral research.

Professor Fidler chaired the UK-SPEC development group, the ECUK Output Standards WP, and the ECUK Registration Standards Committee. He has considerable experience of accreditation (past Chair, IEE Accreditation and DABCE), quality (ex-BSI ISO 9000 Lead Assessor), international matters (accreditation, UUK International Group member, etc), and education (past EPC Council Member, Tomlinson 14-19 HE Group member, Lifelong Learning Council member).
